| dc.description.abstract | World Vision is an international non-governmental organization in which one of its programs, the WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) program is working in reducing the lack of access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene on children and families in project intervention areas in Ethiopia. The purpose of this study was to investigate the organizational factors which influence the success of projects in World Vision Ethiopia, a case of the WASH program. This study adopts a descriptive research design. According to, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) program, 71 staff are incorporated in the program throughout the three areas: Rural WASH, Urban WASH and Emergency WASH. This study puts into use both secondary and primary data. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods were used to collect data. The Quantitative method included both descriptive analysis and inferential analysis which were used on the data with the help of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Descriptive statistics such as percentages, frequencies, mean and standard deviation were used. In explaining the relationships between the variables correlation analysis was applied. Thematic analysis is a good approach that was used to analyze the qualitative data. The study shows that all three factors which are: organizational culture, allocation of resources and human resource factors have influence on the success of projects in the WASH program. The study recommends that the organization should provide more periodic staff trainings in order to assure that they gain the necessary competent skills for enhancing their performance leading to a successful project. The study also advises that the organization should follow all the policies that it issued in a careful and discrete manner. | en_US |
