dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the use of electro analytical techniques, cyclic voltammetry (CV), square wave voltammetry (SWV), and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in the study of the electrochemical behavior of paracetamol in aqueous media and at the glassy carbon electrode. The electrochemical reaction was found to be irreversible, involving the transfer of two electrons. Aqueous phosphate buffer pH 7 was used as solvent and supporting electrolyte. An optimization of instrumental parameters was performed for the differential pulse and square wave voltammetric techniques. Differential pulse amplitude, pulse repeat time, and scan rate chosen for differential pulse voltammetry were 30 mV, 0.5 sec, and 5 mv/s respectively. Similarly for square wave voltammetry, the amplitude, frequency, and step potential chosen were 25 mV, 25 Hz, and 5 mV respectively. Finally the interference study of tablet was studied at aqueous phosphate buffer of pH 7.0.en_US
