Abstract
This study attempts to explore the cause for the presence orphans, the problems of orphans and
the efforts made by caregivers, government, non-governmental as well as community based
organization in Woldiya woreda of North Wollo. it also assesses orphans' relation to caregivers
and their experience in attempt to cope with/survive the problems. Integrated model of resilience
was employed as a conceptual fram ework to address the research problems.
