Abstract
This study intends to find out the assess the role of media in molding the behavior of children in case of parents dedicated at watching a series of kana a case of parents watching TV series at Kana TV. It envisioned examining how a TV serial influences the children behavior, there by identifying how their parent perceive the risky behaviors affecting children behavior that are seen on series at Kana TV. The study employed a qualitative research design and a descriptive case study analytical approach. In this study, both primary data sources and secondary data sources were used. For primary data, researcher’s observation, focus group discussion and in-depth individual interview were conducted. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative data analysis technique. The results of the study showed that TV serial watching to children have significant effect on molding their behavior and future life. Parents’ involvement on TV serial selection also plays a key role at current and future behavior of children. The study finally recommends the attention from parents to be high towards the behavioral problems children encounter during their ages at their home. The government, governmental and non-governmental bodies should be careful about the television series products in the country. As future areas of research researchers can take each behavioral change mentioned in this study and make further detailed studies.
