In this project we have presented a review of momentum, heat, and mass transport by molecular diffusion that takes place near interfaces and boundary layers. Specifically, we considered the thermodynamics of fluids, conductive heat and momentum transport mechanism by molecular collision, thermal conductivity and heat equation. Moreover, diffusive transport mechanisms and the associated uxes, coupled Heat and Mass Transport by Molecular Diffusion, and the equations that describe them. Fluid ow is governed by a coupled nonlinear system of partial differential equations. However, in many practical situations, the calculation of friction or energy losses in conduits, or the heat and mass transport at interfaces can be greatly simpli ed by using so called transport coefficient. These coefficients, which are based on analytical solutions are typically gathered as correlations based on dimensionless numbers.
