Abstract
The period since 2018 marks a significant transformation in Ethiopia Turkiye diplomatic relations, characterized by enhanced political, security, and economic cooperation. Focusing especially on political engagement, military and security cooperation, and economic ties, this study looks at the development of bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Turkiye since 2018. Using a qualitative research methodology, the study makes use of official records, government reports, key informant interviews, and body of current literature. The results show that Ethiopia's political change under Dr. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has helped to boost diplomatic interactions, strengthen security alliances, and raise Turkish investments in sectors including manufacturing, textiles, and infrastructure. Despite this increase, challenges still exist including Ethiopia's increasing trade deficit and policies influencing bilateral economic cooperation. According to the study, Ethiopia Turkiye relations have significantly improved since 2018 and present great possibilities for ongoing cooperation provided economic and legal challenges can be properly addressed.
