dc.description.abstract | HIV/AIDS can impact any age group and it is the major cause of pediatric morbidity and mortality worldwide. A substantial number of children are exposed to the virus through vertical transmission from their HIV-positive mothers. Government programs are aimed at eliminating new HIV infections in children.
