Abstract

Agrochemicals are chemicals substances widely used in horticulture, agriculture and public health system both at industrial and domestic level. The study was conducted in Adea Berga districts to assess and analyzing the impact of misusing agrochemicals by the local farmers. Statements of the problem, research question and literature review also assessed to gate full information about the agrochemical misuse. Cross sectional study, descriptive methods designed, 183(one hundred eighty-three) Sample size selected by random sample method and quantitative data analyzed by SPSS software. Survey tools were prepared and distributed to respondents and collected to be analyzed. All most all farmers use all kinds of agrochemicals to gte good products from their farm land, for healing the wounds of some domestic animals like horses about 95.1 %(percents), sheep’s 2.2% (percent) and as well as for human about 2.7% (percent’s),they use empty container for drinking alcoholic and non alcoholic beverage and about 42.6%(percents), feeding purposes about32.8% (percents), for drinking water about 21.9% (percents) and about 2.7% (percents) for other purposes which cause a significant health problem. So that the researcher finds the following major findings concerning misuses of some of agrochemicals among the society, using agrochemicals as wound healing and using un determined dose on the farm land, spraying herbicide without using personal protective material which causes a significant healthy problem, risks non target organisms ranging from beneficial soil microorganisms to insects and other animals that create pest resistance, crop losses, Inhibitors of Protein bio synthesis ATP ( adenosine triphosphate ) formation and reproductive system of flora are major health implications of agrochemical use in the communities as well as permitting children with immature organ in the processes of pesticide spray which is dangerous practice. These misuses may leads to either acute or chronic illnesses to the society. As the result the researcher concludes that agrochemicals should be strictly handled according to the regulations that contribute the reduction of the adverse effects on human health. Adoption of few simple measures such as designing and executive farm extension program for creation of awareness, green environment, the use of biological solution like Biofertilizer and Biopesticide for pest control, minimize the adverse effect of agrochemicals and using space science technology to produce agricultural drones for spraying pesticide on agricultural farm land.
