    The Effect of Business Process Management on Organizational Performance: In the Case of Ethio Telecom

    This research paper has mainly focused on assessing the effect of Business Process Management on organizational performance, in the case of Ethio Telecom. An explanatory research design and quantitative research approach was applied on a data collected through questionnaire distributed to randomly selected sample to achieve this overriding objective. As a major method of analysis we have used a correlation and multiple linear regression technique (with the help of SPSS software Version 20) to investigate the effect of BPM practices on organization performance. As per the findings of the study, the effect of strategic alignment and Employee involvement on organizational performance was positive and statistically significant. This positive effect on organizational performance implied as productivity was increased due to staff training and development, which was used in order to reinforce certain behaviors and attitudes. The successful alignment of strategic direction in the organization has positively contributed to improvements in overall performance. On the other hand, change initiatives was used by the management to cultivate the culture of innovation regarding employees’ involvement and empowerment, which in turn affected the institution’s overall performance. In general, the institute’s top management shall take all necessary measures for increased employee involvement, adoption of information technology and alignment of strategic direction with regard to business process management.
