Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of work life balance on employees’ job satisfaction at Addis Ababa Police Commission. Some of the scholars come up with a lot of factors of work life balance that could give impact on employees’ job satisfaction are factors such as working hour, working condition, work load and job stress. For the sake of achieving the objectives of the study explanatory research was used. In this study to collect necessary data and relevant documents and primary source of data was used to collect from the data sources. The research was conducted through quantitative research approach. The quantitative data used was collected by distributing the self-administered questionnaire. A stratified random sampling technique was used to conduct the research. The information used for the study was gathered from a sample of 344 employees of Addis Ababa Police Commission. The collected data was analyzed by statistical analysis of both descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis such as correlation and multiple regression analysis. The study results revealed that there is a positive and significant correlation between working hour and job satisfaction as well as working condition and employees’ job satisfaction. On other hand, there is a negative and significant correlation between job stress and job satisfaction as well as workload and employees’ job satisfaction. Based up on the findings the researcher recommended the police commission needs to give emphasis on practicing WLB in order to enhance employee job satisfaction
