Abstract
Prussian Blue electrochemicaly modified onto a glassy carbon electrode surface to
prepare a chemically modified electrode which acts as a good electrocatalyst for the
reduction of hydrogen peroxide. This study was carried out using different pH ranges (3-
8) of 0.05M phosphate buffer solution. H2O2 was determined over range of 1 μM- 1 mM .
Different electroanalytic techniques such as cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse and
square wave voltammetry were used. The result showed that the solution pH affects the
stability of the PB film. The cathodic peak current response for the reduction of 1mM
H2O2 at pH 8 decreased by 55.7 % compared to the response at pH 3.
Key words, Glassy carbon electrode, Prussian Blue, Cyclic votammetry (CV),
Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), Square wave voltammetry (SWV), Hydrogen
peroxide.
