dc.description.abstract | The study aimed to examine the effect of leadership styles of female leaders on employees’engagement in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa-Ethiopia (CCBA-Ethiopia). The study used an explanatory research design through a survey questionnaire, utilizing a quantitative approach toanalyze the effect of female leaders’ leadership styles on employee engagement. Primary data was collected from 167 permanent staff members of CCBA- Ethiopia working in Addis Ababa.Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used to test the relationships between leadership styles (democratic, transformational, transactional, andlaissez-Faire leadership styles.), and employee engagement. The study found that democratic and transformational leadership styles exhibited by female leaders has significant positive effectson employee engagement. In contrast, transactional and laissez-faire leadership styles did notsignificantly impact engagement levels. These results underscore the importance of leadershipapproaches that prioritize inclusivity, empowerment, and visionary leadership in fostering a highly engaged workforce. Based on the findings, several recommendations were proposed toenhance leadership practices and promote employee engagement within CCBA-Ethiopia, including embracing democratic and transformational leadership styles, implementingperformance- based reward systems, and fostering intellectual, social, and affective engagement.
