| dc.description.abstract | The success of any organization in the long run depends very much on the quality of its human recourses. This is especially true in the service oriented industry like banks. Training helps a great deal in the acquisition of new technical knowledge and skills in the different aspects of banking so as to provide quality service to the banks customers. The purpose of this thesis therefore was to evaluate the effects of training on employees’ performance using Dashen Bank S.C. as a case study. The study used both primary and secondary sources of data. A quantitative research approach of the data collection was used and 200 questionnaires were distributed in which 187 of them returned. Stratify sampling method was used and employees was selected from each strata with a random sampling techniques. The data was analyzed using explanatory research method and data was analyzed using correlation and regression. The correlation analysis indicates all relationship between the independent variables (induction/orientation, job instruction, job rotation and lecture) and dependent variable (employee performance) are positively and significantly correlated. The result of the regression indicates that the independent variables have accounted 48.2% of variance on the dependent variable. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher recommend the bank to keep constant review of its training practices to identify its effectiveness on its employee’s performance regularly | en_US |
