Abstract
Diabetic foot ulcer is the most severe and feared complication of diabetes mellitus, which primarily results from peripheral nerve damage and arterial disease. It is a leading cause of nontraumatic lower limb amputations and a source of major suffering and financial costs for diabetic patients. The amputation rate of diabetic foot ulcer and associated factors in diabetes mellitus patients have not been well-studied in Ethiopia.
