Abstract
~qO tYges of rectangular electric fields (Rl - and R2~field)
are produced by a specially constructed generator. IHhen Rl ~
field acts on the caracitor plates between ~Ihich is the
solution to be investigated, the colloidal particles rotate
and modulate the intensity of light that passes through the
solutioIl. The electric dipole moment is given by the
