dc.description.abstractThis issue of poverty is at the Forefront in developing countries like in Ethiopia when we look at the urban Poverty Profile in Ethiopia, most of our citizens are not able to meet their basic needs and Poverty is Persistent . On the other hand , there is an emergency of large amount of large amount of in Flow of remittance to the country From the Ethiopia Diaspora . Hence the relationship between remittance and Poverty Persistence is analyzed in this Paper. This empirical study on the relationship between remittance and poverty Persistence in urban households of Ethiopia found out that there is a Significant negative relationship between them . That is households with remittance are less likely to be Poor. Besides remittance helps housed to Escape Poverty. It is also found out that the negative impact of remittance on Poverty is more Pronounced For households with older heads.en_US
