dc.description.abstractHuman Resource Development (HRD) is a planned and systematic approach to development of Employees for both organizations’ and employees’ benefit Emphasis on HRD results into several positive individual and organizational outcomes. This study tried to assess the effect of HRD practices and its effect: The case of commercial bank of Ethiopia south Addis Ababa District and the specific case area was at Bshoftu town branches. The researcher has been used questionnaire to get information for this research. Simple random sampling technique was used. The researcher used descriptive analysis with the help of frequency tables and percentages to analyze the data. Primary data were collected using five Point Likert-Scale questionnaires 187 responses were properly filled and returned., SPSS was used to analyze empirical data collected through the close ended questionnaire. The independent variables are Training and educational opportunities, Employee motivation, Work safety, Career opportunities whereas the dependent variable is Service quality, productivity, employee performance and loyalty
