dc.description.abstract | In this thesis we study the rst two low lying states of the two-electron quantum dot with parabolic con nement. We use Harmonic oscillation model in spherical coordinates due to its symmetry. With the help variational method, we nd the ground state and rst excited state energy correction since the interaction between the two electrons is not small in nano lengths. We determine the energy as a function of Coulomb interaction scale. We calculate numerical values and propose interpolation formula for energies. It is found that the electron-electron interaction a ects not only the energy and the radius of the quantum dots but also the dielectric constant of the nanostructures | en_US |
