| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed at empirically establishing whether succession planning practices exist in East Africa Bottling S.C and the extent to which such practices had been implemented. In addition, it aimed to establish the impact of such practices have on employee retention in the organization. The design of the study adopted was descriptive research, and data was collected using questionnaires and interview to management staffs which were purposely selected, stratified and simple randomly selected of the organization. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sociences (SPSS). The findings showed that there is high level of succession planning practices implementation in the organization. The findings also showed that the independent variables (succession planning, working environment, career development, reward and benefit and performance management) have positive impact on the dependent variable (employee retention). The study has some limitations on the basis of which, it is suggested to the future scholars to conduct a study in industry level instead of on specific organization | en_US |
