dc.description.abstract | vVe considered two different mechanisms by which a vacancy diffuses from one stable state to the next within a sublattice for a two dimensional binary alloys. For both mechanisms, we have found that the diffusion time is a function of jumping probabilities which in tmn depend on energy barriers and lattice spacing. vVe compared the diffusion times for the two mechanisms and identified conditions under which one is favored over the other | en_US |
