dc.description.abstractThis thesis tries to give a brief description and analysis of the phonology of Anfillo language in the framework of Non-linear Phonology. Chapter one gives background information about the language and the people. It also introduces the theoretical models utilized in the study. Chapter two presents the description of the consonant and vowel phonemes along with their underspecified distinctive feature matrices and the relevant redundancy rules. Chapter three deals with the syllable structure, t he distribution and co - occurrence restrictions of the segments, and the phonological processes.en_US
