dc.description.abstractThe main objective of the study is to investigate the effect of rewards on employee performance at Awash Insurance Company S.C. Questionnaires are used as an instrument and 88 respondents completed the survey questionnaires were used to check the respondent’s opinion. A quantitative -methods approach is implemented to address the research questions. Findings: descriptive analysis, correlation, and multiple regression tests were applied for data analysis and conclude that there is a positive relationship between rewards (extrinsic and intrinsic) and employee job performance in Awash Insurance Co. And the most influential reward was an intrinsic reward for employee performance-enhancing, as the study shows the extrinsic rewards are not critical to achieving superior performance. Therefore, Awash Insurance Company should work carefully with the advanced reward system, good benefits package, and fair treatment to all employees.en_US
