dc.description.abstractThe major purpose of this study is to investigate the contribution of cooperative learning and other variables to students‟ Mathematics Achievement. The subjects were out of 12 sections of grade 10th in Dejezmach Balcha Abanefso secondary and preparatory school two sections from of (n=75). Each class students were assigned into experimental and control groups, and the former were taught with cooperative method of teaching and the latter learned with traditional way of teaching for one six weeks. Achievement test and questionnaire were instruments for data collection. Initially, these instruments were administered on pilot sample and improved through item analysis. The data analysis was carried out using SPSS and t-test. Results indicate that there is significant difference in mathematics achievement between students in experimental and control groups within achievement levels of each group.en_US
