This study examznes the causal attribution of students in Wukro Secondary School regarding success and failure to mathematics achievement. Based on the students' sex and grade level, causal attribution scales were administered to a sample of 393 students (197 males and 196 females). Data about subjects were collected through questionnaire and students' score were secured from the school record office and achievement tests were given for all grades. T-test and ANOVA were used as the main methods of analysis. The resul.t of t-test indicated that males attributed their success to internal sources but females to external sources. In failure situations, both males and females attributed outcomes to themselves. A significance difference was not obtained among the grades in attributing their outcomes to internal and external sources. Some recommendation are forwarded for possible intervention and further study.en_US
