The participants were selected firstly by applying quota method to bring about equivalent representation of each gender type and secondly by using proportional stratified random sampling technique to provide equivalent chance for each grade level depending on their ratio in the total student population. A table of random number was utilized in the process of selecting the participants of the study. The questionnaire and psychological inventories package was administered to the participants in group and in face - to - face session. The collected data was analyzed by using SPSS version 15. O. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and t -test were the specific techniques employed. The academic performance of the students of Kelameno Special High School was found to be higher at a mean score of 89.11 and standard deviation of 4.34. The gender disparity in the score of self - esteem and locus of control of students of Kelameno Special High School was found to be statistically not significant; whereas it was statistically significant in academic performance.
