| dc.description.abstract | The financial performance of firms is influenced by a complex interplay of internal and external factors, yet limited research examines these determinants holistically, particularly in the context of emerging markets. This study investigates the combined effects of firm-specific, industry specific, market, regulatory, and sustainability factors on the financial performance of Mohan plc, an Ethiopian firm operating in a dynamic and competitive environment. Addressing critical research gaps, this study applies a comprehensive analytical framework to explore how these variables interact to influence financial outcomes. Using quantitative methods, the study analyzes data from 302 respondents to identify significant predictors of financial performance. The findings reveal that firm-specific factors, regulatory environments, industry-specific factors, and sustainability practices significantly contribute to financial success, while market factors show a less pronounced impact. These results align with established theories, including the Resource-Based View and Institutional Theory, underscoring the importance of leveraging internal strengths, adhering to regulatory standards, and integrating sustainable practices. This research provides valuable insights for managers, policymakers, and academics seeking to enhance financial performance in emerging markets. By bridging theoretical and practical perspectives, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of the determinants of financial performance in resource-constrained and evolving economic contexts. | |
