dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to assess the rewards and teachers’ performance in private schools. Data were collected from two private secondary Schools in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The researcher used the entire two high schools academic full time staffs as respondents and the second respondent groups are the two selected high schools students. To determine the second respondents group sample size, Yamane’s a simplified formula for proportion is applied. The collected data analyzed by means of descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentage, and mean. Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used to establish the relationship between motivational practices and teachers’ performance in these private secondary schools. The study revealed that the teachers’ are motivated highly by Non-Transactional rewards rather than Transactional rewards in both Schools. In conclusion, the results of the study indicated that there is positive relationship between Non-Transactional rewards motivational practices and teachers’ performance in Deborah private secondary schools and Future Talent Academy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
