Abstract
Organizational Culture types: Clan Culture, Adhocracy Culture, Market Culture and Hierarchy Culture relationship and effect to optimize hotels’ Staff Performance have been examined extensively if they had relationship with Employee Performance. The effect of Organizational Culture on Organizational Performance has been given little attention; thus, this study examined the effect of Organizational Culture on Employee performance. This study adopted descriptive and explanatory design has been adopted and quantitative research approach for the investigation through questionnaires of valid measure with managers and employees of selected 4-star and 5-star hotels in Addis Ababa. Questionnaire comprised of 48 questions prepared based on Likert Scale (strongly disagree -1 and 5 for strongly agree). Sample size consisted of 334 employees and used systematic random sampling technique. This study utilized linear regression research analysis technique and presents findings in the topic and the research findings reveal that the application of the above different cultural types are significantly related with Employee Performance. Identification of Organization Cultures impact on the performance of employee was also found to be the main focus area to optimize the Performance of Employee. Finally, recommendations were made for hotels to rationally integrate the different Cultural types according to the nature of the Hotel activities and the nature of Organizational Culture types
