dc.description.abstractKnowledge is a valuable asset for individual as well as organizations to be successful in this demanding global economy. The change of information into knowledge is mainly due to the effort of human cognitive capacity. Knowledge Management (KM) is therefore a conscious strategy of getting the right knowledge to the right people at the right time and helping people share and put information into action in ways that strive to improve organizational performance. KM includes processes like knowledge capture and/or creation, knowledge sharing and dissemination, and knowledge acquisition and application. The major aim of this project is to explore the knowledge sharing status and design knowledge sharing technology platform for health professionals working on maternal and child healthcare unit. A qualitative cross sectional case study design was conducted to gain insight; explore the depth, richness, and complexity inherent in the topic of interest. The hospital technical staffs working in MCH unit were included as study participants. An in depth interview guide was used to collect qualitative data. The collected data was analyzed manually using the thematic inductive analysis method. In this project/study the overall findings show that knowledge sharing brings common understanding among professionals, its application depends on resource of the health facility and professional‘s knowledge, skill and attitude (KSA), is facilitated by development of technology platform and automating the hospital system in general and it also need committed management body for its execution. Based on the study, appropriate sample content development and technology platform using word press software for knowledge sharing among professionals at MCH unit is designed. The findings highlight the ongoing educational, informational, infrastructural and other interventions to address the issue of knowledge sharing among professionals. In addition, appropriate recommendations are forwarded to the respected bodies.en_US
