Abstract
This thesis is based on the study of the electronic properties of PEOPT in the
form of AI/PEOPTIITO sandwich structure. An interface between aluminum
contacts to PEOPT films were studied using complex impedance spectroscopy
and current-voltage characteristic measurements. The current density-voltage
curve is asymmetric and non-ohmic and shows Schottky barrier type rectification.
The complex impedance spectra are semi-circles that show the existence of a
region depleted of mobile charge carriers. An equivalent circuit consisting of one
parallel RC circuit is envisaged as a model of the interface
