Competition in the economy creates a positive prospect for economic growth and development. However, many developing countries are not in a position to develop efficient competition law due to complex nature of market, limited capacity and lack of experIence. Though Ethiopia has only recent ly developed anti-trust law, the prevalence of anticompetitive conducts is widespread. The market structure of the Ethiopia's beer industry is duopoly type, and there is a dominant firm in the beer market i.e. BGI, though in it practies has not been engaged in practices through abusing its dominant position. The alleged dominant firm has not engaged in anti-compet itive agreements except exclusive dealing & full-line forcing. There are unfair trade practices which should be conected.such as giving hotel hostes uniforms, giving refirigrators for their costumers and the like.en_US
