dc.description.abstract | Performance Appraisal is one of the key important factor which is practice by human resource management of every successful organization. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of performance appraisal on employees’ job-satisfaction in the case of CBE. Currently in CBE most of employees not satisfied by the performance appriasal practice. They informally complains bias of the raters, lack of continuous communication, lack of trust in the supervisor, lack of clear performance expectations. The study used a descriptive research design. A stratified random sampling was used to sample 181 respondents from Commercial Bank of Ethiopia(CBE). The study used questionnaires as its data collection instrument qualitatively and quantitatively. Regression Analysis and Correlations were used to analyze the data collected using SPSS version 20. The study revealed that performance appraisal is positively related to job satisfaction and performance appraisal is has positive effect on job satisfaction.
