dc.description.abstract | This study aimed in examining the effect of corporate governance on company’s performance: the Wegagen bank s.c. To examine this both descriptive and explanatory study was conducted. The study population was comprised of 211, out of management respondent which is 182 respondents was participated. The sampling method is random clustered sampling and a questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection using five-point scales. Both descriptive and explanatory (correlation and regression) statistics have been used to analyze the data. Corporate governance indicators employed in this study was corporate governance practice, board structure, board’s independence and board’s educational qualification. The regression result indicates that the corporate governance variables (corporate governance practice, board structure, board’s independence and board’s educational qualification) have positive and statistically significant effect on organizational performance. This study recommends that the bank should focus on improving corporate governance to boost its performance and enhance competitive advantage. As board is determinant issue for the success of the company the bank should focus on this area. Key words: boards, corporate governance, company’s performance | |
