Abstract
Background:Pretermlowbirthweightisoftenchallengingindevelopingcountries. Implementingspecializedcareincludingproperfeedingpracticeisessentialfor Treatingneonatestobringthemintoanormalrangeofweight.However,Thereisa Lackofresourcesforalternativefeedingpracticesinlow-Incomecountrieswhich Resultsinpoorpostnatalweightgainatdischarge.Thereisalsolittleornoevidence Ofpostnatalweightgainandtheinfluencingfactorsinethiopia Objective:Theaimofthisstudywastoassessthepostnatalweightgainandits Predictorsamongpretermlowbirthweightneonatesadmittedinneonatalintensive Careunitatselectedpublichospitalsunit,2023 Method:Aretrospectivestudywasconductedon242neonateswhowereadmitted Inneonatalintensivecareunitinthelast5years,Inaddisababaselectedpublic Hospitals.Thecalculatedsamplesizeforeachhospitalwasassignedproportionally. ThedatawerecollectedthroughstructureddataabstractionchecklistanddescriptiveAndinferentialanalysiswerecomputed.UsingdescriptivestatisticalanalysisthedataWeresummarizedinmeanandstandarddeviation(SD)Forcontinuousvariables,AndPercentagesforcategoricalvariables.AbinarylogisticregressionwasusedtoseetheRelationshipbetweendependentandpredictorsvariables.Significanceisdeclaredat.
