dc.description.abstract | Liquid-lquid extractive and UV-Vis spectrophotometric methods were attempted for speciation analysis of chromium. To do this, some laboratory-synthesized ligands (isatinthiosemicarbazone, dihydrazine ninhydrin and ninhydrin semicarbazone) and a commercially available ligand, phenanthroline, ware used. There have been found that they are inappropriate for both analytical applications. However, the chemical properties may support some preconcentration or spectrophotometric applications. Suggestions for these possible applications are therefore forwarded for future studies. Key words: liquid-liquid extraction, Spectrophotometry, chromium speciation, Schiff’s bases | en_US |
