Item Analyzing the Challenges of Interest Free Banking Service: The Case of Selected Commercial Banks in Addis Ababa(Addis Ababa University, 2016-08) Tadele, Senait; Belayneh, Temesgen (PhD)The main objective of this study is to analyze the operational challenges of Interest-Free Banking in Ethiopian Banking Industry. It is also aimed at providing solutions to these challenges. To achieve this objective, a cross sectional data is generated from a sample of respondents, consisting of staff and Managers were sourced via structured questionnaires and Interview. Both primary and secondary data collection instruments is used to collect data, closed ended and open ended questionnaires along with interviews is used for the purpose of data collection. The data is analyzed using percentage, graphs and tables. The selection of the respondents is carried out by using systematic sampling method. The result of the study indicates that interest free banking is in its early stage in the industry and most of the staffs and managers have no ample knowledge about the product and services of IFB. Moreover, it indicates there is absence of proper legal frame work, sufficient and skilled man power, absence of Auditing and Accounting standards as well as Insurance firms. The prevalence of mental disorders in Children and Adolescents ranges from 17% to 22% and contributes to 15% of children and adolescents. In Ethiopia, there are not that many studies on the prevalence of childhood and adolescent psychiatric disorders which range from 3.5% to 25.2%. The practice of prescription of psychotropic medications is different in different settings but there are no studies on the prescription pattern of children and adolescents in Ethiopia. This study tries to see the pattern of psychotropic medication prescription in one of the two governmental children and adolescent Yekatit, psychiatry clinics in Addis Ababa. Objective: -To assess the Psychotropic medication prescription pattern in children at psychiatry outpatient clinics of Yekatit12 Hospital Medical College, Addis Ababa Methods – A retrospective chart review, an outpatient department of Yekatit Hospital in children and adolescents <19 and seen from January – to December 2019. Result: -In the present study, antipsychotic drugs were the most prescribed psychotropic drug, followed by antidepressant drugs. There is also moderate use of mood stabilizers and antiepileptic drugs. Risperidone was the most frequently prescribed drug among second-generation antipsychotics. Fluoxetine was the most prescribed class of antidepressants. Conclusion and recommendation: -Improving medical record completeness services is an important war ford improving the quality of healthcare.
