    Assessment on Media Coverage of Football Violence in Ethiopian Premier League; Focus on Addis Television

    The purpose of this study was to evaluate how Addis Television covers Ethiopian premier football violence news stories. The researcher observe football violence is a hazardous problem and become a complicated issue on Ethiopian premier league for the last three and four years. Moreover football violence was continuously boosted year to year and one serious agenda to the society. Media has a great role in the public view of football violence to minimize or exaggerate. These studies focus on how the selected media covers football violence and researcher tries to find the problems and challenges that hinder the journalist. To conduct this research Qualitative method has been employed in order to address the problem. The researcher uses content of Addis Television football violence news stories and in-depth interview as methods of collecting data. The findings of the study indicate that Addis Television football violence news stories mostly lack critically analyzed. And also news presentation was unbalanced and one-sided stories that ignored the opinions of expertise. On the other hand Lacks of information is the main challenge to report football violence news.
