Item The Effect of Employees Training on the Success of Project: The Case Rama Construction Plc(Addis Ababa University, 2023-07) Sara Hashim; Wasihun Mohammed (PhD)The aim of this study is to examine the practice employees training and its effect on the project success within the context of Rama Construction PLC. The conceptual framework is designed by treating employee training practices as an independent variable and project success as dependent variable. Employee training practices was further expressed using specific practices, namely: need analysis practices, training design practices, training methods, and training evaluation practices. The study employed descriptive and explanatory research design. While a questionnaire was used to gather primary data. The study sample in terms of the respondents covered randomly selected employees of Rama Construction and a sample of 195 was administered with the questionnaire and 78.9% response rate was achieved. The data collected was analyzed with the aid of descriptive statistics and multiple linear regressions using Statistical Package of Social Sciences. The findings of the study revealed that the combined effect of employee training practices influenced project success positively. The result shows that the four independent variables, namely: training need analysis practices, training design practices, training methods, and training evaluation practices, that were studied explain 63% of variation success of project in Rama construction company as represented by the R² value. The result also revealed that all the four employees training practices, namely: training need analysis practices, training design practices, training methods, and training evaluation practices are significant in predicting success of project in Rama construction company. Thus, study concluded that improved training practice is an increasingly important instrument to get higher success of project in Rama construction company. Therefore, the study recommends the management of Rama construction company should influence employees training practices as a way of improving its success of project
