Decay Constant of Pseudo-scalar Mesons in Bethe-Salpeter Framework
(Addis Ababa University, 2009-06) Molla, Mekonnen
We have employed the frame work of the Bethe-Salpeter equation under Covariant Instantaneous Ansatz to calculate the leptonic decay constant of pion and have also reviewed calculation of leptonic decay constants of unequal mass pseudoscalar mesons. In the Dirac structure of BS wave function, the covariants are incorporated in accordance with a recently proposed power counting rule. The decay constants are calculated with incorporation of both Leading-Orders (LO) as well as Next-to-Leading-Order (NLO) covariants. The main contribution of this thesis is an alternative derivation of pion leptonic decay constant which hopefully should raise the contribution of LO covariants in comparision to NLO covariants and hence validating the power counting rue for pion
