Item Invertibility of Single Layer Potential in 2d(Addis Ababa University, 2019-06-03) Melese, Getahun; Gedif, Tsegaye (PhD)In this work we investigate the invertibility of single layer potential operator in 2D. The single layer potential operator contains non trivial kernel. Consequently, we need to set conditions on the domain or the space to insure the boundedness and ellipticity of single layer potential operators and hence by Lax-Milgram Theorem the invertibility of single layer potential in 2D.
