Survival Status and Predictors of Outcome in Patients with Brain Tumors Undergoing Surgery at Black Lion Specialized Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: A Retrospective Cohort Study
(Addis Ababa University, 2025-06) Mebrahtom Weldu; Misrak Woldeyohannes
Brain tumors are a significant public health concern, contributing to high morbidity and mortality rates worldwide. Primary brain tumors account for about 2% of all malignant neoplasms in adults. In Ethiopia, the incidence of brain tumors is rising, yet comprehensive data on survival outcomes and associated predictors remain limited. Despite the significance of brain tumors, research in this field remains sparse, with very little data on patient outcomes, survival rates, and prognostic factors following surgery.
