Item Youth‟s Perception towards Youth Center Services Delivery: The case of Arada Sub city Woreda Six Youth Center(Addis Ababa University, 2017-05) Hordofa, Workitu; Assefa, Abebe (PhD)This study described youth perception towards youth center services delivery of Arada sub city woreda six youth center in Addis Ababa. A qualitative single instrumental case study approach was used. A purposive sampling technique was utilized. The researcher has included eight in-depth interviewee participants, six key informants and two focus group discussions in the study. Data were analyzed using cross case analysis. During analysis, the researcher ensured that the data were transparent, understandable to the reader and trustworthy by using multiple data collection methods and data triangulation. The findings indicated that youth perception towards youth center services delivery influenced by the unfulfilled services and management system of the youth center. Youth center provided entertainment, empowerment, career progression, information and participatory activities. Due to these activities, youth have brought behavioral changes, developed different skills and most importantly taken training to develop their talents, to get peer education and to establish a good friendship. The study found that there is no participation of youth with disability and less participation of female youth in the center. In addition, lack of good management, lack of family involvement in youth participation, negative perception towards the services, lack of clinical and non clinical materials and budgetary constraints are among the major challenges that hindered youth center to give full package services to youth. The study findings have implication to social work practice, research and advocacy. Key words; youth, youth’s perception, youth center, service delivery, youth service delivery
