    La temporalité [la différence dans les temps] entre langue maternelle [amharique] et langue cible [français] sur le temps passé. The purpose of this research is to analyses the past tense between mother tongue Amharic and target language of French. This research aims to show the difference between mother tongue Amharic and French language depending on the past tense. We were analysis different fictions those which express past time by comparing with French language and Amharic language depending on the grammar structure. We analyse these fictions according to their usage of past tense in both languages that means French and Amharic language. Amharic language and French language are the two languages which has different grammar structure. In addition, we try to show the morphologies and syntaxes of mother tongue and target languages, depending the past time on both languages with their ways of expression. In short, this research aims to address the specific points the difference between French language and Amharic on the past time. In particular, we look at their role in the control of a target language, their public destinies, their utilizations and their grammatical contents.
