    The Effect of Training on Employees Performance: The case of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of training on employee performance taking the case of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation. This is a Descriptive research type with a quantitative methodology being applied. Data was collected using self-administered close ended questionnaire from respondents who are selected through simple random sampling from the 7 Districts and head office. Out of 227 questionnaires distributed 220 where properly answered and are used in the study. Descriptive and inferential methods of analysis were used with the help of SPSS version23. And the findings show that there is Dissatisfaction of employees on the implementations of the training dimensions such as Training needs assessment, Training method and training evaluation. And results from multiple regression shows that especially, Training method used and training evaluation have significant positive effect on employee performance and explains about 28.9 % of the variation on employee performance. Therefore the recommendation is that the management of EIC especially Human resource department should give due attention for training because it helps in getting best performance from employees.
