    The Roles of Economic Empowerment Support on thePsycho-Social Life of Women Living withHIV/AIDS: A Case of Women in Addis Ababa

    The purpose of this thesis is to assess the roles of economic empowerment on the psycho social life of women living with HIV/AIDS. Hamle 19 area was the where the study took place. In this study twelve women living with HIV/AIDS and three employees of the organization participated in the study. Generally, fifteen participants selected using purposive sampling were participated in this particular study. The qualitative approach has been used in order to analyze the data using thematic data analysis procedures. The finding and results obtained from semi structured interview mostly showed that the roles economic empowerment on the psycho social life of women living with HIV/AIDS in the study area will be well benefited from this economic empowerment support in terms of psychological aspects, social ties and income change. Before the support of economic empowerment from the organization, women living with HIV/AIDS were faces different problems within the community like lack self-confidence, lack of social ties or social relationship, discrimination were the major problems. This study come up with the role of economic empowerment support with assertive training has a great positive impact on the psycho social life.
