The study is an explanatory research study design following a qualitative approach for making a detail description, diagnosis and explanation. The study find out in its analysis, discussion and conclusion parts, the present Ethiopian context is not favorable for other type of federalism other than the current ethnic based federalism, other form of federalism is impossible in Ethiopia without the present Ethnic based federalism at least in the short- run and attempt to stop the present Ethiopian Ethnic based federalism in the short run, may lead the country to disintegration.
