Studies elsewhere have demonstrated that organizational culture correlate with individual and organizational outcomes. Investigation of the association of organizational culture with work performance in the local context was necessary. The main purpose of this study was to explore the effects of organizational culture on employee performance. The study measured the effect of organizational culture on employee performance at the Addis Ababa Abattoirs Enterprise. Both quantitative and qualitative methods have been utilized to generate the needed data. After establishment of adequate sample size for the study, and pre tested questionnaire and focus group discussions were conducted to collect data. The collected data were analyzed using statistical package for social sciences; version 24.Corelation and regression analysis were used to examine association between dependent and independent variables. The findings suggest that organizational culture has a positive effect and a significant relation with the performance of employees in the study enterprise. The study clearly showed that all the four cultures, namely clan adhocracy market and bureaucratic cultures had a significant effect on employee performance with dominant culture characteristics of market culture practiced in the enterprise. Thus, the study demonstrated positive relationship between organizational culture and employee Performance.
