Data were collected from 58 mothers of young children and 23 domestic worker child caregivers. Sample groups were selected from Gulelle. Kolfe Keranho, Arada and Addis Ketema sub cities of Addis Ababa by using purposive and random sampling techniques. Questionnaires were employed to gather the intended data. For analysis both qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods were used. The numerical differences were tested with chi-square. Child abuse and neglect were prevalent in domestic workers' child cares. PhYSical abuse and neglect, among the prevailed child maltreatment, were the dominant form though others were evident too. The strongest correlates of child abuse and neglect to be caregivers' age, prior history of abuse or neglect, and child's age. Some inconsistence, however, were observed between the data obtained from the two sample groups. The inflicted maltreatment was resulted in both physical and psychological damages.
