It examine the role of leadership style on employee performance in selected information technology companies in Ethiopia.The research design is institution based cross-sectional research with a quantitative research method. The research employed a purposive sampling technique to select a representative sample of IT companies in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Descriptive analysis including frequency, proportions, and measures of mean was done using SPSS version 25.0. Cross tabulations made to calculate Crude and adjusted odds ratio. The association between leadership styles and worker performance was predicted using regression analysis and Pearson correlation analysis.The result shows Autocratic Leadership style has a highly significant relationship with employee performance, with a significance level of 0.000. The odds ratio is 0.309, indicating that autocratic leadership is associated with lower odds of employee performance. Transformational Leadership Style shows a highly significant relationship with employee performance, with a significance level of 0.000. The odds ratio is 4.848, suggesting that transformational leadership style is associated with higher odds of employee performance.
