Knipholone (126) is isolated from the genus Senna for the first time. The methanol extract of the pods yielded three flavonoids, kaempferoI4'-methyl ether (127), acacetin (129) and 3,5,6,7,8,3' ,4'-heptahydroxy flavone (130).
